JobCompanion and its operators own or license all intellectual property rights in the platform, including its branding, software, algorithms, workflows, and user interface design. This policy explains what we own, what you own, and how we handle intellectual property disputes.
Branding & Trademarks

- Platform taglines and marketing copy

You may not use JobCompanion's name, logo, or branding without prior written permission, except to:
- Refer to JobCompanion in factual, non-misleading statements
- Share links to the platform on social media or in professional contexts
- Write reviews or commentary about the platform
Prohibited Branding Use
- Using our name or logo to imply endorsement or partnership
- Creating derivative works based on our visual identity
- Using our branding in a way that could confuse users
- Registering domain names or social media handles that include our brand name
Platform Systems
The following platform systems and infrastructure are proprietary to JobCompanion:
- Job matching and scoring algorithms
- Resume analysis pipeline and data extraction logic
- Application workflow orchestration system
- Automation safety rules engine
- Usage limit and billing infrastructure
- Database schema and data models
- API design and endpoint structure
You may not reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract these systems without written permission.
Workflows & Algorithms
JobCompanion's AI-assisted workflow system — including the logic for generating application packages, scoring job matches, and orchestrating semi-automated applications — represents proprietary intellectual property.

Software & User Interface
The JobCompanion web application, including all source code, user interface design, component architecture, and visual design, is protected by copyright:
- All source code is proprietary and confidential
- UI design, layouts, and visual elements are protected by copyright
- Component designs and interaction patterns are proprietary
- Documentation and technical specifications are confidential
You may not copy, reproduce, or create derivative works based on our software or UI without written permission.
User Content
As described in our Uploaded Content Policy, you retain full ownership of your resume and any content you upload. We claim no intellectual property rights over your personal content.
AI-generated content created by JobCompanion's systems using your data (cover letters, analyses, recommendations) is provided to you for your personal use. You may use, edit, and submit this content freely.
Third-Party Intellectual Property
JobCompanion uses third-party software, libraries, and services under their respective licenses. We respect third-party intellectual property rights and expect our users to do the same.
Job listings displayed on the platform are sourced from third-party providers and remain the property of their respective owners. We display this content under data licensing agreements with our providers.
Reporting IP Infringement
If you believe that content on JobCompanion infringes your intellectual property rights, please contact us with:
- A description of the copyrighted work or trademark you believe is being infringed
- The specific URL or location of the allegedly infringing content
- Your contact information (name, email, address)
- A statement that you have a good faith belief that the use is not authorized
- A statement that the information in your notice is accurate
